In my work as Development Director of The Hub Teen Center, I found myself in need of video editing skills. A majority of the content for my #HubStory campaign is video, which meant that I had to teach myself how to shoot, edit, and produce content in a medium I didn't have much experience with. The first few videos were pretty rough, but as I learned and cultivated this new skill, I came to realize that I rather enjoyed it. Due to the informal nature of the #HubStory campaign, I shot my videos on an iPhone camera and then edited them in Wondershare Filmora.

July HubStoryThis month’s #HubStory features Shalanda Hunt, the Michigan Youth Opportunities Coordinator for the Department of Health and Human Services. We’ve partnered with Shalanda and the DHHS since 2015, when Shalanda sought a venue to facilitate their financial literacy course. We have since found opportunities to partner with her and the DHHS further, and we are so grateful for their partnership!
Shalanda is passionate about the youth of Jackson--this shines through in her work with the Michigan Youth Opportunities Initiative (MYOI) and in her dedication to the students she works with. Hear more from Shalanda by watching the video! |
