Language is a very human trait. We distinguish ourselves from other animals based on our ability to write and speak, to create and connect. As a communication scholar and writer, I know the importance of storytelling, especially when it comes to evoking emotion and creating real connection with a variety of audiences. Storytelling is what teaches us empathy, what helps us see the world through different eyes. It is vital to our understanding of each other and our world. I have trained in written storytelling, editing, and communication and most recently earned my Master's degree from Michigan State University in Communication with a Specialization in Nonprofit Fundraising.
My primary joys are professional writing and editing, though I take an interest in nearly every facet of human life from gardening to entertainment to history. I often say that my hobby is to collect hobbies--I love knitting, karate, painting, and I most recently became a beekeeper! Outside of that, I truly love connecting with people and hearing their stories--especially when I get to share them with others.
We all have a story to tell. Let me help tell yours.
